MAIL-ART Call: [Dream Archive]

Fina-artist Vanessa Touzlοukof invites you to participate in her [Dream Archive] Mail-Art Open Call, to be part of her next Solo Exhibition.

The Dreams will be exhibited in Greece, at the Old Town of Chania, Crete, in the wonderful art space of "ametron" gallery (https://ametronart.com/), in September 2023, and as part of the artist's [Dream Archive] art project.
In parallel, the Launch of the exhibition will consist also of a live Concert – Installation by Anna Stereopoulou, during which the Audio Dream-Works will be heard, as part of her Sound Art.

You are INVITED to send a dream of yours, written both in your native language and in English, and illustrated using any visual medium you like (except video).

More specifically, you may SEND it in one, or in both of the following ways:
1 | As a POSTCARD, with or without an envelope; in case the envelopes are interesting, they will be part of the archive.
2 | As an AUDIO File, which can also be welcome, and will become part of the archive.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• The archive is not for sale.
• If you do not want your name exposed, due to the personal nature of the dreams, please let us know.
• The works must be received until the 20th of August 2023!
• No jury.
• No fees.
• No return. (After the show we may exhibit the archive elsewhere, therefore, photos of the dream-works may be used for the promotion of any future show of the archive.)
• A digital certificate will be sent to everyone who wishes to receive one.

1 | GUIDELINE & MATERIAL to create the POSTCARD:
• Use cardboard or thick paper so that the card won't bend easily.
• Size οf Postcard: A6. If your dream needs more space, you may extend the cardboard with thinner paper, folded to A6 size, or create an 'accordion' book in the same size.)
• You may send up to 2 dreams.
• If you agree, you are welcome to join the [Dream Archive] project!

2 | AUDIO Files
• Recommended Formats: .WAV or .MP3 (any size). In case you don't have any (semi)professional 'sound-recording' equipment, then, smartphone, i-phone, and similar type of Audio files are also welcome.
• Duration of Narrative: free choice.
• Language of Narrative: free choice. Kind Reminder: Please, include your Dream, also in text, written both in your native language and in English.
• In case you don't wish to mention specific names, or you wish them not to be heard during the exhibition / and within the space, due to the personal nature of the dreams, please let us know.
