She was born in Poland, where she studied medicine. After graduation she dedicated herself to her artistic side. Now she lives and creates in France and as a set designer she has created sets and costumes for Beckett’s and Pinget’s theatrical plays in many European countries. Her original passion for costumes and the inspiration she draws from ballet are clearly reflected in her acrylic painting. Ewa’s dresses are dreamy and ethereal lying empty of bodies, but full of life, while her dynamic brushstrokes give the seemingly static dresses a light feeling of movement and femininity. One could see tulle and lace emerging from the painting, while with her Crétoises collection she frames the dresses into an olive grove or in front of black carved salty rocks. White with olive green and black with white dominate in a contradictory, but harmonious landscape.
